Babies get shunned
by Crooked Lumpy Vessel inmy sister was recently disfellowshipped and she told me that she was eating in a restaurant yesterday when the elder that disfellowshipped her was seated at the table next to her.
of course they would not breathe a word to her.
but her son (4 years old) had kept saying hello over and over to the elder and his wife and they both refused to acknowledge him, smile of even say hello back.

Thanks everyone. I wasn't sure what kind of response I would get from this. I'm so happy I really wanted to share the news.
Newboy, I consider myself a Christian. I got baptised in a Methodist Church but the methodist parts is not relevent.

If you don't care about someone's sexual preference then don't click on the "who is gay" threads
It made for some entertaining read on this very boring Monday at work!

Well this thread has been a long time coming.
I'm straight. My sister's not and i love and respect her. No conditions attached.
But really these "who's gay" threads are just crazy. Does it really make a difference to how you feel about people?
Maybe we would like to debate what is more "natural" brown, green or blue eyes?

It was so wonderful. I had to give a testimony in church. I kept on having to stop to take a deep breath as the tears were threatening to come pouring out into the ugly cry. After that the minister jumped into the pool clothes and all (no shoes) and baptised me in the name of the Son, the Father and the Holy Spirit. I then had a few people at my house for a celebration. It feels good, I know that for me it was the right decision.

Goodbye from James Free
by James Free inwhen i joined jwd i still felt the need for a 'support group' and jwd was full of similar people wanting to share their experience.
now the time has come for me to leave - i am now able to put 35 years of jw living completely out of my head.. .
many factors have helped me, and jwd was an important part of that, and i will always be grateful to simon for setting up this forum.. .
